German-Polish-Ukrainian Seminar
German-Ukrainian Jurisprudential Dialogue NGO along with German Law Center and Polish Law Center of at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv successfully conducted the German-Polish-Ukrainian seminar Human Dignity in the Law of Germany, Poland and Ukraine.
The event took place at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv during October 10-11, 2016. Working languages of the seminar were Ukrainian, Polish and German (with simultaneous translation in these languages). The seminar was aimed at students, scholars, professors of law faculties, judges, public officers, lawyers, representatives of non-governmental organizations and mass media.
Within 2 day seminar participants were able to become familiar with the following issues:

history and theory of legal protection of human dignity in Poland, Germany and Ukraine as well as development of the idea of human dignity in Ukraine;

legal protection of human dignity in Poland;

legal protection of human dignity in Germany taking into account the spheres of special administrative social and tax law;
-
human dignity in the eyes of Ukrainian police and mass media etc.
Besides, examples of court decisions and other materials on violation of human dignity will be forwarded to the participants in advance. They will have to evaluate them in accordance with the national legislation. All the materials and conclusions of the discussions will be collected and published. Participants and organizations, which they represent, will receive a collection volume.
A tour in Kiev will be provided.
